Originally a small dock (presumably built by the U.S. Navy) Pirate’s Cove is a small rocky cove with beautiful clear water. This was called La Chiva #1 and Pirate’s Cove until very recently when they re-numbered. There is a new short board walk here over the old cement dock. There are fishing rod holders on the dock and its a great place to fish at the right time of day. However the best activity here is snorkeling or scuba diving. The dock and large rocks provide a perfect habitat for a variety of fish and other sea life!
This isn’t your typical sandy beach. On the left of the dock the beach is white coral, on the right its black pebbles. The difference is quite striking!
There is no shade here so plan accordingly for that.
